Lynette Weeks – Front Desk
Lynette is one of the friendly faces you’ll see at the front desk of American Fork Pediatrics. She has been part of the team for over 12 years—from 2008 to 2012, and again from 2017 to the present—and loves being a welcoming presence for patients and families.
Her passion for healthcare began in high school when she earned her CNA certification and worked in assisted living and at Alta View Hospital. These early experiences sparked her love of helping others and showed her how rewarding it is to make a difference in people’s lives.
As a receptionist, Lynette enjoys interacting with families and children daily, building meaningful relationships, and ensuring each visit runs smoothly. She takes pride in being a trusted, dependable resource for patients and their parents, and she enjoys assisting Spanish-speaking families with kindness and understanding.
Outside of work, Lynette enjoys hiking with her family, movie nights, and taking her Bernedoodle, Monty, on walks. She is an avid Utah Utes fan and loves visiting Kauai. A lover of musicals, her favorite movie is Mamma Mia!

Jessica Adams Hunter – Office Manager & Billing
Jessica joined American Fork Pediatrics in 2011 and has been an integral part of the team ever since. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and over 15 years of experience in healthcare, she brings compassion, organization, and a genuine love for children and families to her role.
Even though she works behind the scenes in office management and billing, Jessica enjoys connecting with families over the phone and helping guide them through injuries, sickness, and mental health concerns. She finds it incredibly rewarding to see patients grow—from tiny infants to thriving teens—and feels honored to support them and their families along the way. Jessica is also committed to continuing her education in counseling, driven by her passion for helping others navigate today’s mental health challenges.
Outside of work, Jessica treasures time with her blended family. She was a single mom to her daughter before meeting her husband, who has three children, and together they’ve built a strong, loving family over the past 14 years. Watching her children grow, succeed, and pursue their passions brings her immense joy.
Jessica’s favorite quote is by Dr. Seuss: “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?” She loves this quote because it reminds her to live her own life, do what makes her happy, and not worry about the paths others are taking.
Paola Miranda-Hernandez, CMA – Medical Assistant
Miranda joined American Fork Pediatrics after completing her externship in October and officially became part of the team in December. She is a Certified Medical Assistant with five years of experience in healthcare, bringing compassion, energy, and a love of learning to every interaction.
Her passion for healthcare began in high school when she shadowed medical professionals at a children’s hospital in Chicago. Before becoming an MA, Miranda worked as a CNA in a dementia care unit, an experience she found both meaningful and challenging. She later earned her Medical Assistant certification from MTEC and discovered her true calling in pediatrics.
Miranda loves the challenges of her role and finds joy in watching children grow—especially when they compare their height to hers! She is passionate about advocating for patients, particularly those with complex medical needs, a cause close to her heart thanks to her nephew.
Outside of work, Miranda enjoys dancing, skiing, playing tennis, and spending time with her mini Goldendoodle, Benji. She is a proud godmother to three children and draws inspiration from uplifting quotes, including “You can do hard things.”

Outside of work, Allie enjoys crafting, including making blankets and jewelry, as well as reading and writing. Her favorite childhood character is Curious George, whose curiosity and creativity have always inspired her. Kayloni Yorgason, CMA – Medical Assistant & Care Coordinator
Kayloni has been an essential part of Dr. Whiting’s team since January 2006. She began her career as a Medical Assistant and quickly discovered that the medical field was where she truly belonged. Over the past 20 years, Kayloni has built strong, lasting relationships with patients and staff alike, bringing compassion, dedication, and warmth to everything she does.
In addition to her medical assistant duties, Kayloni serves as a care coordinator, ensuring that patients receive the care needed in pediatrics and helping families manage their children’s health. She has played a key role in training new staff, covering shifts so team members can take time off, and is always the first to respond whenever Dr. Whiting needs assistance for the practice. Even when working from home handling after-hours nurse calls, her care and commitment are felt around the clock.
Kayloni is also an amazing mother, and her children thrive in both education and sports thanks to her unwavering commitment to their growth and success. Her ability to balance family and career with grace inspires everyone around her.

Eden loves watching children grow and forming lasting relationships with families. She finds it especially rewarding to see confidence and connection blossom over time, knowing she has helped children and parents thrive.
Outside of work, Eden enjoys exploring new foods and places and going on small adventures. One of her favorite ways to unwind is visiting the park to sit on swings or feed the ducks. Her favorite children’s book is You Are Special by Max Lucado, and her personal motto is:
“If I made someone’s day a little better by serving them, then it was a successful day.”
Shaylynn Miller, CMA – Medical Assistant
Shaylynn, known to most as Shay, has been a valued member of the American Fork Pediatrics family since 2002. With over 23 years of experience in pediatric care, she brings warmth, laughter, and dedication to every visit. A proud parent of four—two boys and two girls, including one who is medically complex—Shay draws inspiration from her family to approach every challenge with patience, empathy, and care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, cabin life, and cheering on her boys at their sporting events. If it’s outside, you’ll probably find her there!
Her favorite quote, by Dr. Seuss, reflects her approach to life and work:
"To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world."
